I still need a lot of sleep. My beautiful shiny pink mobile phone did not worked in NY; I ask my friends to forgive me if they tried to use it; I had to use the phone of the hotel-room and I did not have . . . more

Describe Yourself:Learn painting basics in various atelliers in Athens/Greece. Observation of masters in museums and galleries also have a strong influence and passed their lessons of infinite use of colour and light.
Studied Architecture in Italy (Palermo and Florence)
Wprked as an architect in Italy, Greece, Austria, England.
Had exhibitions in Vienna and Graz in Austria, Athens/Greece, Bologna/Italy and Hambourg/Germany. Digital projections of recent works Jan 2008 in Gallery Studio New York.
Themes of eexhibitions have been 'Alchemy', 'Sex und Macht' and 'Dance Myths' among else.
One exhibtion was in the Festival of Arts in Vienna and another was travelling for two years in Europe, out of Vienna with general reference to World Peace.
Most of my work is in private collections.
exhibitions:'Synergie' Gallerie CAMAVER in Varenna/Lago di Como, 26 Aug-2 Sept 2008 and 'Traces of Memory' in Castle d'Este, Ferrara, Nov-Dec 2008
Future exhibitions:' Quintessential color' Gallery Agora New York 26 March-10 April 2009, and Gallery Infusion in Los Angeles down town Oct 2009.
In the past it was an agressive figurative expressionism while now the surreal composition of figurative elements is the predominat expression of my oil paintings.
There have been idyllic watercolours of landscapes and architectural features or movement studies of dancers.
There have been reviews in local papers and in the feminist art magazine 'Eva & co' in Graz/Austria.
Travel, history, philosophy, esoteric symblism, films and filming as well dance shows are my big interrests.
Out of my artistic solitude I came to organise art actions with school children in Austria as well a group painting with psychiatric Patients in Vienna/Austria. A month in a community of 'aduts with learning difficulties' in South Devon has been also a fulfilling experience. A wall painting on volountary basis in a hospital of R.A.F. was a marvelous experience and the patients were so enthusiastic ...
Garden design, Kindergarten design for Steiner schools counts also among my volountary work. A garden for the Chapel of the Unitarian Church in Hampstead/London was also a sweet pleasure.
I can not live without going on painting.

I started the year 2009 taking a temporary leave from the divinities in the gardens and paint people in town.

Alkistis Wechsler , Feb 22, 2009, 7:28AM ESTMy dear friends, Breuning and Kelly, yes I love potry! I read Rilke in my late teans and some stories later on. Lately I do not read poetry as I do not read much all together, except of books on symbols. I have always been inspirede by the rebels, obscure and tragic poets of the 19th and early 20th century. Such as Byron, Puschkin, Shiller, Baudelaire, Antonin Artaud and the poet of maldoror.

Kelly T., Feb 15, 2009, 3:37AM ESTAlkistis - oh I haven't seen Theo and Vincent for some time and would love to see them again soon. I shall dig for the VHR and perhaps need to purchase it in DVD. I love Vincent the painter and Rilke the poet. Have you read Rilke "On Cezanne". It's the book, along with Letters to A Poet by Rilke, that inspired me to pick up a paintbrush for the first time ever on my 40th birthday.
